Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of this website and the purchase of IT Portal software licenses from maxen ("we", "us"). By requesting or activating a license you agree to these terms and to the License Agreement.

1. What we provide

IT Portal is self-hosted software. We issue license keys, operate the license validation service, and optionally assist with deployment. We do not host your instance and do not have access to your data. Use of the software itself is governed by the License Agreement.

2. Ordering and payment

• Licenses are sold as an annual subscription (Core plus optional modules), invoiced in EUR. A license key is issued after payment is confirmed.
• Optional one-time services (such as Deployment Support) are invoiced separately.
• Prices shown on this website may change; the price in your invoice is the one that applies to your order.

3. Trial licenses

We may issue trial keys for evaluation. Trial licenses are time-limited, may include a short grace period, and can be revoked or converted to paid licenses at our discretion.

4. Renewals and expiry

• Licenses renew for further annual terms upon payment of the renewal invoice. We send renewal reminders before expiry.
• If a license expires or is not renewed, the software switches to read-only mode. Your data remains on your server and stays exportable — expiry never locks you out of your own data.

5. Refunds

You may request a full refund within 14 days of purchase, provided the license has not been activated (bound to a domain). After activation, fees are non-refundable except where required by law.

6. Acceptable use

• Do not misuse this website, attempt to disrupt the licensing service, or probe it for vulnerabilities outside a coordinated disclosure.
• Do not submit false information in the contact form or impersonate another company.

7. Intellectual property

The software, this website, and all related materials are owned by maxen. Licenses grant a right to use the software under the License Agreement — the software is licensed, not sold.

8. Disclaimer and liability

This website and the licensing service are provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of these terms is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages.

9. Changes

We may update these terms; the current version is always published at this address. Material changes will be notified to active license holders by email.
